Universal Networks is proud to announce that it has achieved registered status on the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR). Further strengthening the position of it’s deployable fibre cable solutions within a market requiring robust, rugged fibre network products suitable for harsh environments.

JOSCAR was established following an initiative led by ADS Group as a way of simplifying the process of identifying suppliers that are ‘fit for business’. It is a cross-sector, collaborative tool used by a growing number of prime contractors in the aerospace, defence and security industry, including BAE Systems, UK Ministry of Defence and Babcock International.

It is designed to improve efficiency for both suppliers and buyers by acting as a central, single repository for pre-qualification and compliance information that can be accessed by all participating buying organisations.

The JOSCAR scheme allows prime contractors to quickly identify credible, pre-qualified organisations, helping to save them time and resources that are currently required to access this information. This enables them to confidently do business with organisations that have demonstrated a commitment to delivering the highest quality of solutions.

Entry into the scheme is granted following a detailed vetting process, covering a wide range of areas including health and safety, HR, policy compliance, IT security and operational resilience.

“We are delighted that our hard work to ensure we are fully compliant has been recognised through JOSCAR membership. This certification reassures both our current and potential customers that we are continually striving to deliver products and services of the highest quality whilst complying with industry standards.” says Eddie Hing, Managing Director at Universal Networks.

“We specialise in the design and delivery of custom made, easily maintainable, field deployable fibre solutions and ruggedized media converters that are built to withstand the most challenging environments. Our JOSCAR accreditation demonstrates our capability and expertise to customers operating in this area, who know they will be receiving uncompromised dependability from our solutions.”

Becoming a member of JOSCAR demonstrates that Universal Networks has been through a rigorous inspection and has proven its commitment to managing risk and delivering quality products and solutions. In combination with its Cyber Essentials certification, ISO9001 and Carbon Neutral accreditation, it continues to demonstrate its commitment to operating in a customer focused, environmentally responsible manner.
