This quarter, our support focuses on projects that empower people facing additional challenges in daily life, helping them thrive through practical life skills and hands on learning opportunities.

Help People with Learning Disabilities Gain Life Skills

This project offers people with learning difficulties, autism, and mental health challenges the chance to work on an organic farm, gaining hands on experience and developing new abilities. Attendees grow fruit, herbs, and vegetables, care for the animals, and learn to cook meals, all in a supportive environment.

Participating in these activities helps improve:
• Confidence and self-esteem
• Physical fitness and coordination
• Social skills and friendships
• Mental wellbeing, reducing feelings of stress, anxiety, or isolation

Provide Cooking Training for Vulnerable People

Cooking provides an opportunity for independence, skill building, and personal achievement. This project teaches people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges how to cook healthy meals using produce from the farm, while also learning food hygiene and nutrition.

Through this project, participants gain:
• Practical cooking and meal planning skills
• Fine and gross motor skill development
• Increased confidence and self-worth
• Social connections and a sense of belonging during shared mealtimes
