In the fast-paced world of technological evolution, milestones are not merely occasions for reflection but also opportunities to look ahead at the potential for the future. As Universal Networks commemorates its 30th anniversary, we’re not just marking a milestone; we’re celebrating our journey and the people that have shaped us into who we are today.

Three decades ago, our Managing Director set out with a vision to create a company, built not only on the pillars of technical expertise, but also strongly rooted on a commitment to customer satisfaction. Today, he continues to successfully position Universal Networks as a responsive, reliable and knowledgeable partner, supporting customers across the world and spanning a wide range of industries, including broadcast, events, defence, aerospace, medical and more.

Now, as we dive into our 30th year, our commitment to excellence and customer service continues to be underpinned by a collaborative approach that enriches our knowledge and amplifies our capabilities. From the initial consultation to the final stages of production, polishing, and ongoing service and repair, we are a team dedicated to overcoming the most intricate of fibre optic and copper connectivity challenges.

As we mark this significant milestone, we are mindful not only of our journey thus far, but also of the path that lies ahead. Therefore, to celebrate turning 30, not only have we released a new logo, we are pledging to invest in our colleagues, customers, and the wider community through a series of initiatives related to the theme of ’30’ throughout the rest of the year.

To kick off, we have invited our colleagues to participate in shaping our onward journey. Whether that be investing time to learn new skills, volunteering for a cause close to their hearts, contributing to the local community, or reflecting on personal growth, we are committed to supporting everyone in their individual aspirations.

100 Miles in 30 DAYS

First up, our Senior Account Manager, Liz Waterhouse is power walking her way through May with a commitment to walk 100 miles in 30 days to raise money for Cancer Research.

Having known many people whose loved ones have been affected by cancer, Liz wanted to find a way to offer her support. Making an initial pledge to raise £200, she would love to raise more, with the support of friends, family and colleagues.

 “Seeing people go through the pain and stress of the disease is heartbreaking. Sometimes you don’t know how best to provide support, but doing this challenge gives me an opportunity to offer help.”
