We’ve been celebrating our 25 year anniversary throughout 2019 and no celebration is complete without a cake! With visions of a very special cake, shaped like our ArmourLux Deployable Fibre reel, we searched high and low to find a cake maker willing to take on the challenge. With drawings and descriptions of what we wanted, we enlisted local cake maker ‘Baked by Butterflies’ to bring our grand idea to life.

It’s safe to say that we were thrilled with the end result, which firstly looked very realistic (honestly, it really is a cake!) and secondly tasted amazing! Looking almost too good to eat, we were a little sad to have to cut it up, but the hungry tummies of the Universal team won out and we enjoyed eating the delicious chocolate cake! We were also pleased to be able to support a local business, something we feel is important.
We think our fantastic cake wouldn’t look out of place on the Great British Bake Off – thank you to Baked By Butterflies who have definitely earned our vote for Star Baker this week!
