IP Telephony

IP Telephony uses VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) to convert analogue speech into an IP data stream, which allows it to be transported over a data network. This means that you can use standard telephones over the same network that your data uses, using the same network switches, thus simplifying your infrastructure and realising a number of other benefits that are not available to those using traditional PBX type telephony:

• Simplified & cheaper cabling infrastructure: With VoIP on your network you no longer need separate cabling for your telephone system. Using one type of cabling throughout reduces installation costs. You also don’t need additional outlets for the IP phones as a desktop PC connects to a second LAN port on the IP phone.
